So you Like the New MPC 2.0 Eco Boost over the older 2023 2.0 Eco Boost and think it has better response and better acceleration than the 2023? I was waiting for someone to compare the 2 as i bought a 2025 Maverick XLT AWD with the 2.0 MPC Eco Boost and almost bought a 2024 with the same drivetrain. Although i didn't like the Black Wheels on the 2024 and i liked the color of the 2025 and the wheels better than the 2024. And is your New Badlands Desert Sand?

Yes the engine seem to be better overall. Nice growl to it on acceleration. Power is more consistent without the surging you seemed to get at times on the old Dragon engine. And yes that's my desert sand in the picture. Nice maverick.

I gave up a vehicle I really did like (2023 AT4X canyon) 12.5k miles. Loved he tech but at 69 years old getting in and out daily with my dachshunds was too much for me. Got an even trade for a 25 BS BL Sasquatch which I really like even though I am a Toyota fan and we still have a RAV4 as well. Been driving pickups for almost 45 years. Don't really need one anymore. Will buy a light aluminum trailer if I ever need to run to Lowes Hardware for longer items or pull my Kawasaki Mule Pro MX to the shop or up to a trail. US Navy ETC Retired living on 165 acres where we still don't have a flashing yellow light.

This is my post from yesterday. Note the offers for my 2021 BL with 23k miles.

Carmax in Murrieta by far the best offer at $29K. Ford dealer $22.5k. Quite a difference.

Just info in case you decide to go for the 2025.
What dealer are you dealing with? I'm in Wildomar and LE Ford wanted to offer 20102 for my 22 Badlands. I have had no issues other than the battery and was just toying with trading for a Fullsize cuz I just acquired another full size dog in a 72 pound lab. The kennels fit with the seats down but not like I want them to.

The 2023 heritage Limited was in Reno Nevada that I was considering. I service my 2021 BL at Gosch Ford in Temecula.

They offered me $22,500 for my BL.

Try Carmax online just to see what they offer you. You have 7 days to consider their offer. I can't say why they offered me $29,000 but it was tempting.

I decided to pass on the 2023 HL and am keeping my car for now.

Thanks, i'm glad i got the 2025 and not the 2024 since you like the 2025 2.0 Eco Boost more than the 2023 2.0 Eco Boost you had. Thanks for the compliment on the Maverick i'm really liking it.

growl. If you have the Badland Tech Package the growl is generated through the stereo. I test drove 2 different badlands, one with the tech package and one without. Drove the second one without and me and the sales guy looked at each other and said ā€œwhere did the growl go????ā€ Got back to the dealership and found are answer. The growl is part of the tech package.

yeah one of the reviewers on youtube said as much. don't know that it's mentioned anywhere in the official descriptions.

yeah can’t remember exactly where we found it but it included the sound module. I drove the 2 sports a day apart so it was a very noticeable difference. I actually liked the growl but I liked the Eruption Green even more. ?

I did see the growl sound mentioned in Ford’s 2025 literature
ā€˜21-ā€˜24 Badlands in Sport mode also growl

For 2025s, says it ā€œsets the exhaust to a louder toneā€

Who knew goats could growl?

In my case, Sport mode has a distinctly Subie sound. Weird. Maybe it’s because itā€˜s holding the lower gears longer and I’m just not used to hearing it rev out.

I wonder how often the exhaust vent thru that valve ... maybe it's one of the reason the 2025 badlands sounds louder...

Of course the complain here and facebook BS group will be high. People need to vent, understandable.

For your statistics you are asking for, it is difficult to evaluate... only the die hard fans will take time to create an account and exchange positively here.

I think the switch to the 2025 just for the SYNC4 is worth it. I test drove the 2024 and I found there were still using the tiny sync3 that I had in my Focus ST 2016!!!!

I decided to pre-order instead at that time for the 2025 BL Sasquatch for SYNC4, higher towing capacity, improved off-road modes and underbody protection

2025 use MPC engine (Escape 2023 first year of use) , which is different than the old 2.0L ecoboost. Old 2.0L is reliable, unsure for the MPC.

Most of the issue are gone in the 2024, 2025 is just a minor refresh.
interesting, the 2.0 engine is different than pre-2024 and earlier model? I'm new BTW, potential owner.
