Kinda concerned with the longevity of my Bronco sport. At 30k miles I've had the recalls done. Tsb for rear brakes. And a radiator leak, now my Rdu is acting up. Yeah stuff happens but I'm kind of let down. Warranty will fix the issues but my mind will start to wonder what's next on the list? Vehicle I'm thinking about trading for is a 2026 honda passport trailsport elite in ash green. Looking like 30k otd with my trade in. Any thoughts?

All the gadgetry is what concerns me. This is the first vehicle that I bought an extended warrenty for. But, I’m not putting as many miles on as I expected as we watch some of our grandkids so not traveling as much as planned.

My wife has had Honda’s for over 40 years now with no issues . We haven’t ever had any real issues but then I’ve driven mostly Fords for 50+ years and no major issues with those either. Several were 150k plus miles as well. Most died of iron oxide cancer that comes with the Midwest high salt intake during the winter.

I’ve seen a few people go from the BS -> Passport. The styling and tech is similar, and I just got mine last week. It’s definitely a different class size and when I drive my BS it feels tiny now haha. The only bummer is that it doesn’t come with siriusXM.

Like you, i’m around 47k miles and have had all recalls done except the new pending fuel injector. It was in the shop for a month and a half due to a failure and needing an engine and turbo replacement. I didn’t mind all the recalls since it’s been such a great car for adventures and camping, but the failure was the final nail in the coffin and i’m ready for a break.

I definitely expect some first year issues with the Honda Passport, but also I trust that it’s going to take me to 150k easily.

Honda has been pretty good with first year releases I think. But your right it will stand the test of time. For me its a bummer to have to pay for Honda link to start my car from my phone and no homelink plus worse gas mileage. I'm just kind of at a point in my personal life that I need some more stability and my Bronco hasn't been that. I think I'll make my mind Tuesday. Just kind of wanted some opinions and thanks for yours.

I love the FordPass app and the fact that it’s free. I hate car subscriptions with a burning passion. The Honda offers 3 years of google maps and then wants a subscription for that too, but i’m just going to use Carplay.

The Passport is definitely worth a test drive if you haven’t already. I mulled it over for a month and it was a difficult decision for sure but I don’t have any regrets.

I've already test drove the one pictured. And negotiated a little on it. It's currently at the dealership and I'm off Wednesday morning so I need to think fast.. This trailsport is the elite model, if I was spending the money I figured I'd get what I really want.

I find my BS a fun car to drive but I just had the Electric Brake Booster replaced at 5,000 miles and only one and a half years old. A part like that should never go bad that soon. The part alone is over $1,000. The car is in the shop now for a strange grind/growl like noise from under the engine the lasts a few seconds when starting from a stop. I am guessing that I will be told it is normal. I have a 2019 Edge that has a surging/bucking issue at a speed of just under 20 mph that happens when the car has sat overnight. My BS has the same issue. When I first bought my BS I was disappointed in the fit and finish of the vehicle but ended up overlooking most of them because they are cosmetic and sometimes repairing these things might fix the issue but you end up with a new rattle or scratches in places you didn't have them before.

I purchased the 10 year Ford Premium care ESP so not thinking about selling anytime soon but based on my experiences and experiences of others on the forum I am disappointed in the build quality of the vehicle.

I agree completely.. As unfortunate as it sounds trading it while it's worth something may be the best solution for peace of mind. Ford makes some good trucks and the mustang with the 5.0. Those stand the test of time. My mustang is 6 years old and hasn't given me 1 issue.. And I beat on that car and track it. My Bronco doesn't do as much heavy duty work and it's been disappointing me. Atleast for the new passport the engine and transmission have already been is service in the pilot for some time. So the drivetrain should be as good as it gets. Also a v6, no turbos. Only thing with the 3.5 is the 100k timing belt service but that's about it.

I too am thinking about trading. Not because of any issues, Tilli II has been flawless but, I have never ordered a new rig, only settled for whatever was around at the time. And hell no I won't be straying from the "Blue Oval". I have never had an issue with a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury. Chrysler (except for a 71 Satellite 400/auto), GM, Honda Mitsubishi or Nissan/Datsun? I cannot say the same. So, in a year and a 1/2, on my 70th birthday, I am planning on ordering a new F150 4x4, std cab 6-1/2 box hopefully looking something like this. Unless one matching my exact specs, no more no less can be had:

I didn’t even realize they still made a standard cab in any color other than white!

Love the result I have gotten with 5-Star and Tilli. I will go with them and add my PeddleMax (for the 4th vehicle). Best $250 mod for the price-to-seat-of-the-pants bang for buck

If i knew the Pedal Max I had on the BB BS I had would have worked with the 2.0 EB on My 2025 AWD XLT Maverick I would have kept it. I think it would make a big difference on the Maverick. The throttle response and Transmission shifting was much better on the BS BB with the Pedal Max than on the stock Maverick. I was on the F-150 Forum since i Had F-150's before the BS BB and the one Idiot on there said the Pedal Monster which I'm sure is like the Pedal Max was a waste of money. But yet he didn't have either product on any of the vehicles he owned. FWIW I also go on the Maverick Forum as well as this one and the F-150 forum every night.

You have to take what people say on the forums with a grain of salt. A lot of experts on things they’ve never done. One person on the 6g forum who said he has driven manuals his whole life said one of the reasons he wasn’t getting one is they can’t be used off road and they were difficult to use in parking lots. He clearly never drove a stick.
