Looking up parts cost, some are pricey. Time invested, not bad at all.

Any issues with proving road worthiness or passing state inspection if required, already having a title says no.

Safety is kind of a pain in the neck. Utah no longer requires annual Safety inspections and the nearest place is over an hour away. I got a 30 day temp tag, and once I replace the washer reservoir I have no concerns about it passing inspection.

You're right about the parts costs. I usually try to source parts on eBay or via local salvage yards. I refuse to buy them from local stealerships.

I've been lucky. Both cars had underlying front end damage, but the bumper covers were re-usable. ($1,500 to $2,000 retail).
