Stopped at a light, the guy stopped behind me wasn’t paying attention and boom. He now has a mirror image of a Reese receiver plug tattooed into the bumper of his Honda. No damage I could discover on my BB.

At least I got that out of the way. ?

I've never been rear ended in the bronco yet, but I have been three times in my various full size pick ups. Everytime the hitch has damaged them and kept me from even a scratch. Strangely enough, all three times were by PT Cruisers.

Getting rear ended before the light turns green by a guy at full stop behind me was a new experience.

I had to jack a Lincoln Contenintal off of the hitch on my Jeep Liberty. Trashed her radiator with no damage to mine, except I believe it tilted my hitch down a bit. Started off at a light but had to stop because the vehicle ahead of me couldn't turn right because of a pedestrian in the crosswalk. A young girl with a learner's permit hit me, moved me forward, and then hit me again. She was so pretty and sweet that the cop didn't even give her a ticket. I had my grandkids in the car with me, and we all wer holding hot chocolate when we were hit. The Jeep was covered in hot chocolate. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the collision.

Something to consider is that anything left in the receiver hitch could leave a dent in your shin if you aren't careful. Ask me how I know...
