Sleeping Inside BS (need help)

I can use some help from others who have slept in their Bronco Sport during camping trips. See attached pic. On the left, I have a thick (3”) cushioned exercise mat. On top of that, not pictured will be a 3’‘ thick Serta memory foam mattress top. Testing it out on the floor, it’s pretty comfortable. But here are my questions:
1. In the picture on the left, my head will go right behind the passenger seat but nothing is supporting that area since that is where the backseat legroom is (see picture in top right). Any suggestions Of what to put in that legroom area so my pillow(s) can lay flat?
2. The back cargo area does not lay flat with the back seat cargo (see bottom right picture) so you would have to sleep on an angle and that is not comfortable at all and a deal breaker. I know others are having success sleeping flat but I just can‘t figure out how?
Finally, I like my mat and mattress topper configuration because the mat can fold in half and the mattress topper can be rolled up so easy for storage when I am done sleeping and easy set up. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Maybe not ideal...some have removed the rear bench seat very easily and it does level out the flooring. As for that gap...perhaps just spin the other way with feet at the front seats and head at the rear hatch?

I removed the lower seat and built a brace to support the seat backs and a small custom table that fit that space behind the pass seat. Nice and flat and solid. At 6'1" I comfortably slept fully stretched out. The deep sleep matt is awesome.

There’s also Luno mattesses which come with inflatable wedges for the gap that look pretty good. Not sure if they sell them by themselves though.

Here's some images of the platform. I used a sheet of plywood, 2x4s, outdoor carpet, wood screws, and a hinge for the head section. With the head section up the bed can be laid down with the seats in a normal driving position. With the head section (8 inches) down the seats must be pushed forward. Both sections can be stored in the back to utilize the 2nd row seating.
