Plan on getting 2025 Bronco Sport
So, anyone with new 2025 been using their free months of SiriusXM? I'm having problems trying to scroll down looking at the different channels. It will scroll some, then it will scroll back up to the beginning! Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

I have Siriusxm. It works fine in my Bronco Sport. The menus are different though. I have to know the channels I want. I had it in a jeep that was harder to get working. I had to call them to work out the kinks. They answered the phone and helped me just fine. I later moved the jeep and could not get the satellites in line regularly. This made Siriusxm unusable. So I canceled it. After about 4 -6 months, they sent me the best deal on a subscription. I intend to try to get them to honor the deal in my Bronco sport when the trial ends. Also: I think you can put it on your phone, plug it in and go.

it can be added to your phone and then played via CarPlay or Android. The benefit is you can then play stations only available on the app version. The downside is your phone reception may not be a good as the satellite version.

So, I can see having to know what channel you want. There are so many music channels!! On the app I went through and added all sorts of channels to my Library, next time I'm on my Sport, I'll see if that makes a difference!! So a little history, back in the mid to upper 90s, Sears was having a promotion for Sirius, sign up for Sirius for $500 for a lifetime subscription! Though, at the time that seemed like alot of money back then, we choose to subscribe and I'm so glad we did now!! We have switched it to a few different cars since getting it and this last time, we had to pay a $35 charge to change it over to the Bronco. Anyway, I'm loving all of the extra music channels it has and it's hard to pick which one to listen too!! 😊

There are at least two of us with the lifetime SiriusXM, I bought the SiriusXM lifetime subscription from Sirius in 2006 for $300.

For the 2025 owners using the free SiriusXM trial subscription, here is some information that may be useful to you.

1. SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link feature: the ā€˜21-ā€˜24s which may have come with a 5yr subscription to this feature (and may not be consistently true across all ā€˜21-ā€˜24 models) — unfortunately this feature will terminate following the end of the 90 day SiriusXM trial period if the SiriusXM trial subscription was turned on.

I don’t know if all 2025s come with the SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link feature (and I don’t know if it’s a 5yr plan) but be aware this feature terminates as described above.

After an enabled SiriusXM trial period ends: the 5yr SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link feature needs to added back onto a paid or lifetime free SiriusXM account, see:
https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/sirius-travelink-and-ford-sync.9082/post-159122

2. Regarding the phones SiriusXM App vs SiriusXM built into Sync, there is some additional info posted in the following links. I personally do not use the phones SiriusXM App because SiriusXM built into Sync overall is easier to use and more full-featured.

I know there likely are differences between SiriusXM built into Sync 3.4 (ā€˜21-ā€˜24s) vs built into Sync 4 (2025s) so these links might not be conveying accurate info for the 2025s.

I pretty much listen to one station and it’s only available on the app and not on the satellite version plus I have multiple vehicles and just one SirriusXM account. The sync version is definitely simplier and easier to use but I actually find the app version better for my use case.

My problem is, depending on my mood, there are several stations I like to listen to. I guess beings I hook up to Android Auto, I'll have to experiment with the SiriusXM on that!

If you are using the SiriusXM on Sync you should have lots of presets to program your ā€œseveral stationsā€ … you can go through the presets using the controls on the steering wheel

but maybe I misunderstood what your post was saying

Oh cool!! So, on the steering wheel, can I do the presets from the menu? I haven't checked that out yet!! What I have trouble with is when I pull up all the extra stations, and start scrolling up, it won't keep going up, it slides back to the beginning. Maybe I need to go slower when scrolling, otherwise it's hard to pick stations when I can't keep scrolling to look at all the stations!

Can you provide more details on exactly how you are doing the scrolling? I read your earlier post but not clear yet.

Yes - the steering wheel controls allow you to go ā€œforwardā€ and ā€œbackwardā€ through all preset stations you programmed

On the Sync 4 display find out how many presets you have set up and you may want to increase or decrease how many presets you have. I don’t know the exact setting for this on Sync 4 bc my 2022 is Sync 3.4

Sorry, I'm not to good at wording but I'll try! Okay so on my main screen, on the SiriusXM app, when I pick Xtra music channels, it brings up ALOT of channels!! When I try scrolling down to see more channels, it slides back up to the beginning of the list when I'm trying to scroll. There was one time it let me continue to scroll down but most of the time it keeps sliding back up to the beginning of the list. I may be trying to scroll too fast, next time I'll try to go slower. Also, I'd like to know how to save channels. Guess I'll just experiment. I read it in the manual but couldn't understand what it meant! I hope this was helpful, thank you!!

Your best bet is to load the directory on your phone. After a bit, they will mail you a program guide card.

Sirius really hates you lifetime subscribers. As you see, they kept raising the price over the years and at one point they limited it to just 3 radio transfers and I think someone sued them and they got rid of that policy, but added the activation charge. Which is stupid, because all that happens is a different radio ID goes on the backend. You could do it yourself through a web page.

I had the issue described above with using the trial and then having the built-in navigation options deactivate. I was able to re-subscribe on a promo and then spend almost 2 hours on the phone to get the promised 5 year traffic trial restored (just to a total of 4 years though ). Honestly, I hate that company so, so much. But they are a monopoly now that they bought out XM and Pandora. Nothing else works wherever you go. I've seen many people say that right now, if you let the subscriptions lapse, you can get a rate of just $3 for 36 months on Music and Entertainment package. I have 1-2 months left on my sub and then see if I can land that. The $3 is an OK rate IMO, but the real gem is not having to call them for a song and dance routine for 36 freakin' months!!

I also have an old Starlink receiver that's "permanently on". See, once upon a time, the radios got activated and then when a sub ended, they would broadcast a "kill" signal for that receiver. There are a lot of units in the database so they only broadcast the kill signal for a unit ID for a while. If your radio is off in a drawer (like mine was) it never got a signal to shutdown. I guess in theory they could spend a lot of dough to broadcast another kill for those old IDs but someone would have to crawl through a list of unit IDS that may not exist anymore. Not worth their time. Nowadays, they swapped the tech around. So radios automatically go off unless they get an activation signal monthly. You can find a bunch of them on evilBay that are sold as "activated" or "Lifetime" (even if they aren't really) but they command a high price. I tried using mine in the Bronco, but I found the local FM band to be really polluted since the FCC started squeezing all the radio and TV bands down. It works, but it isn't pleasant to use because of the occasional cross-over.

Mine doesn't have sync4 so I can't say much about the exact rebound issue you have. My best idea would be to try loading the app on your phone. Get it logged in and use the phone app for channel selecting instead of using the built in unit. I think you can even do that wirelessly on sync4? The Sirius tuner is also really slow and laggy on the sync3. If I spin the tuner know (isn't it great to have a real knob for that!?) The screen freezes, then stations fly across the screen, and eventually the radio tunes something that may or may not be what's shown. Maybe the sync4 also likes a slower scroller.

There is a program pamphlet that came with my truck listing all the channels but you may be able to get it from their website as well.

In either case, I didn't bother reading much of it and just used voice commands, to find the genre I was in the mood for and once a station was found that I wanted to keep, press and hold the preset button on the screen.

Same for over the air channels. Just tell the lady that lives in the dash, to tune to ##.# fm and you're golden. :sunglasses:

Other setting a preset, I never bother messing with the screen. Other than setting things up how you want them, on anything really, Just hit the button on the steering wheel and tell it what you want.

There are definitely differences in how SiriusXM works between builds sync 3.4 and sync 4.0. I can say from experience there is also differences in how SiriusXM works with the same sync build 3.4 but different vehicle models. My 2019 Edge and 24 BS both have the sync 3.4 build but work differently. The BS allows for the presets on the same screen to be from any source: AM, FM, Sirius. On my Edge I can only see the preset stations for the source that I am on. I have to change the source to see the presets for that source. I also do not see any album covers on the Edge when music is playing while I can see them on the BS.
