Have a 2022 Alto blue Outer Banks scheduled to start on Monday already showing 'In-Production' on the tracker and had a chance to look over the window sticker and noticed that the 'Power Moonroof' feature listed at $770 on the build sheet that was signed is not on the Window Sticker. Looked into the details of each option package listed and its not buried inside of a package that I can tell, either.

Anybody have anything similar happen to them?

Assuming there's no way to fix or change this but if anyone found a way, I'm all ears.

Thanks!

You'd have to place a new order

The build on the sticker does not change. If it's not on there it's not being built with it.

Contact dealer and get another one ordered that is all you can do. Once window sticker generated you are locked in that is how that one will be built.

Moonroof used to be part of the trim level package but became optional in March and this year is a line item. If you didn’t want the moonroof you’ll have to order another one.

Did the dealer send you a draft of the order before placing it?

Blame? With the shortages right now they are just gonna say oops and say you can take your name off that one and start over if you like. Dealers don't DGAF right now

yeah - usually when someone does their job incorrectly someone is to blame. I’m well aware of the shortages and BS which is why I would assume dealers would do their best to make sure orders were accurate

Yeah this was an October order - had line items for tech package as well as moonroof on the order we signed

yep. Dealer had us sign confirming what we wanted.

At the end of the day I was just hoping to get answers on if the window sticker was final final or if there was a chance it was refreshed before the build was done. The order we signed had the moonroof but at the end of the day won’t be the end of the world without it. If anything maybe a “you screwed up” bargaining chip with the dealer

Good luck, many of them want you to walk because they can sell it marked up higher to someone else. You may be right in your definition of blame, but we are just trying to describe what we have seen. Very little bargaining power for the consumer right now

1. The window sticker is final and will not change
2. Ensure when it is delivered that the dealer does not try to charge you for it. While a dealer can mark up a vehicle, they cannot charge you for an item that is NOT on the veHicle

There is a chance that the week you ordered they were not accepting any more moonroofs due to supply. This would have shown on the DORA Which would not have shown the moonroof.

For anyone that reads this post, I have emphasized this before….

Ask for the DORA after you order your vehicle. The DORA is what Ford Motor Company sends back to the dealer that lists all the options and features they have that will be built into the vehicle. It is the ACKNOWLEDGMENT from Ford Motor Company.

This is the most important document confirming what Ford will actually build.
This is NOT the preview order or any dealer created document. IT is a FMC document.

I have attached what it looks like
