Refund for missing Big Bend fog lights

Just received this letter from Ford today. I did not complain to them about this issue, it was unsolicited by me.
So I would imagine others will be getting this letter.
My Big Bend says that it should have fog lights on it's window sticker, but did not come with them (along with most of the other items people on this forum have mentioned that were omitted from these cars during the supply chain failures).
Anyways, I probably would prefer they offer to install the fogs on the car, but the letter says they are not doing this.

They cannot add them because the wiring harness is not present. The main wire harness would have to be changed.

The Big Bend used to come standard with Fog Lights. At some point, they stopped including them as standard, but they still appeared on the window stickers of many cars, despite the cars not having them installed. My car is one of them. My Big Bend is pretty basic - does not have any extra packages, but it does say it has fog lights on the window sticker.

Wonder when they stopped putting them on? My Big Bend built in January has them and my heritage built in April has them as well.

My Big Bend has the LED Foglights and the build date was 10/14/2022. Cheers!

21 big bend I have them and ..... an engine cover. Which I never thought was a big deal until I came here lmao. But I don't have USB and USB C in the middle console which I thought was standard

$500 is really good to you, and also really good to Ford, as a false sticker carries a $1,000 fine per instance.

There is a post that I started back on 16Apr 2022. Since that day, my dealer did an investigation on my behalf, they never told me if Ford responded, but they went the extra mile and gave me some decent compensation right then. If you read that post I described what I received from them, Maroone Ford in Longmont, Co. I had routine service a couple of weeks ago and they informed me that this pending compensation letter from Ford would be coming to me. And, like you, I received it today. Anyone who says Ford doesn't care about their customers is mistaken. Yes, they could have been in hot water with the government, especially since they couldn't retro fit the Big Bends affected. I wasn't upset about the fog lamps because the head lights work just fine for me. My comp, after all is said and done, is worth more than those lights. I plan to use the $500 from Ford toward new a/t tires.

I must have just missed it. I think my build date was February, 2023. Unless y'all with them also have the Convenience Package. That's a little bit of my one regret with my BS.
