So while reviewing different accessory options for my BS Badlands, I reviewed the Ford version of the bumper guard. While it looked good, I didnt think paying $90 for a decal as a good investment. So I searched and reviewed and purchased and installed the "YEE PIN" version from Amazon $39. Application was simple and straight forward. Came in a small box, so best to lay it flat for a couple of days to remove the fold memory. Clean the bumper, rub down with alcohol, wipe down with the primer (not sure but smelled like acetate) peel the backing and press on. My recommendation is you line up the edges where the license plate fits and work it from there. I will let you know if it starts to lift over time, but seems to have good adhesion.

This looks like a solid alternative to the more Expensive Ford one. I was going to get the Ford one if I ever got my BS. But I may look into this as well over the ford one.

I need to get something like that for when I start allowing the dogs to ride in the back so they don't scratch up the bumper jumping in

There was a sale on that from one of the sponsors on our Forum here! Picked one up myself and agree 100% it's a very nice alternative to the $90 Ford option, easy install and fits nicely :)

Hi,
I tried the same part. Unfortunately, the tailgate grazed.

Well thru my Badlands first winter with the YEE PIN bumper guard, my wife ran it through the spray wash and it came loose from the bumper, the unit itself still looks great. I will reattach using Gorilla double sided tape. BUMMED!

Hi Folks, I just installed this same protector. You may wish to apply some of this 3M adhesive as well. It's great stuff and will certainly ensure full adhesion.

To the OP, it's been almost a year....other than the car wash incident, how has this version ($39.00 verses Ford's $90.00) held up? Surface still good? Is the black still good color wise?
