I have a 24 BSOBX with 5k miles now. I've searched the forums a bit and haven't seen any other posts about this so wanted to see if I'm the only one. I have two rattles/noises that I was hoping I could direct the dealer on a bit better if they're common problems. The first is a glass-sounding rattle in the rear/liftgate area. In older Fords with the pop-up glass like the BS this was usually the rear window rattling in its frame (2011 Escape, very old 1997 Villager) but when I press on the glass panel it seems secure. Are there any issues someone has had? It makes the noise any time I go over imperfections. The second is when I am stopped at parking lot speeds and start to accelerate I hear a thunk from the front, noticeably louder if the wheel is 1/2 turned to the left. It sounds like in an old vehicle when control arms needed to be replaced but doesn't recur during driving. I thought it was the auto hold disengaging but I turned it off and it persists. Has anyone had issues with that area? I'm already having the passenger door speaker replaced and after today's road trip need the Sync unit looked at because it refused to launch Apple CarPlay even after restarts and starting to feel like I got a problem vehicle. I've not had this many issues cumulatively in all the other vehicles I've owned, much less right from the lot.

I found a bunch of rattles in the cargo area on ours. I was about ready to take it back.

The plastic cover of the rear hatch latch was loose and rattling on rough roads. I removed it, applied dabs of silicone inside on all sides and re installed it. There was more I found in pretty sure was contributing to the noise but that one was a hidden nucience. Check my build thread page 5

Try and save yourself a headache of bringing your OBX in for the rattles and having the dealer say we drove it and do not hear anything. Before your actual appointment try taking your OBX out with a Forman for a ride to make sure they hear the rattle or the day of the appointment take the technician or Forman out for a ride to hear the rattle. Also in my experience outside temperature and weather (rain) can have an effect on if the rattle happens. Unless you have heard the rattles in different weather conditions I would consider not bringing your OBX in to the dealer if it is raining or damp from rain or the temperature has changed.

thanks I will look closer at this. When I was going around checking pieces for play I saw what looked like rub marks on the outside but couldn’t get this piece to move so passed it by

thanks I’m definitely going to have a mechanic do a ride along. The dealer was good about ordering the speaker for the door rattle so hopefully they’re this helpful with the others. Both seem to be persistent so I don’t think k I’ll have trouble recreating them over a sewer cover

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.
