Took less than an hour to install these BAJA DESIGNS S1 fog pocket kit. The one bolt that you have to reach through the tow hook area to remove for the ecu on the drivers side is a pain. Hopefully you have some mechanical skill and can operate blind. It's pretty hard to reach into and I don't have huge hands plus you can't see it while you work on it. Removing the front wheels would make it easier also. But the 245 tires probably made it a bit harder too. Again working blind.

These baja S1 are so damn bright. I ordered the yellow rock guards that go over them and am going to probably hit them with the night shade. So at east they won't be blinding as a daily running light and fog but quickly and easily be removable for offroad use

The next question is, TO DRILL OR NOT TO DRILL?
the round switch for the baja designs squadron pro I'll be swapping the current aux beam A pillar ditch lights needs to go somewhere. Ive been coming in with ideas but, I'm really thinking I'll just drill a hole under the factory headlight switch.

Any feedback appreciated

Quahaish, I lifted the light switch plate out with a plastic tool and drilled on the right end for a big clumsy offroad light switch. I could have used a small one amp button instead to the relay. and I drilled by lifting the top of the console for a small button switch for a front camera. The console is locked by a latch at the front edge which can be pushed back with a flat blade theu a hidden slot in the front edge. Console t

Beaujack I just finished install tonight after work and seen your reply. I actually ended up using the same spot. So what is the small switch on the center console used for?

Here's the squadron pro installed. Also changed the brackets to the baja designs bracket as well. Not as thick of steel as the HRG but sit farther back. I think it's a better look. They're more out of the way.

Wow! I wish I could get the foot well ambient lighting in my Badlands. I also wish my console was wired for the cupholders (which I have, but nothing to plug into). If you’re going to be in So Cal or would be willing to take on a project for senior woman, message me. I’ve about reached my limit with adds to my 2023, including mot finishing my front and rear cameras. If not interested, no worries. It’s nice to see the mods I’d like on my model.

I'm super happy with their performance. I've made some adjustments and pointed them a bit more to the sides. to get a wider field of vision. they'll be put to the test soon going to Yosemite in February

well in other news, started buying stuff for brake performance. i ordered the damond motorsports brake caliper bushings for front and rear. as well as some new power stop Z17 ceramic pads for all around that will hopefully leave less dust on the wheels and still be a better performing pad than factory. will leave the rotors for now and see what these changes do on their own.

also some vinyl decals for over the white letters should be here soon.

might need to buy something for the snow just to have for a Yosemite trip. since we have the 245 tires i don't want to use cables or anything. i seen these tire socks instead. seems weird but i figure they're lightweight and pack well incase i have to show that i have something

Manual says No chains or cable on 235’s. I imagine it applies to 245’s as well. I drove from Woodland CA to L.A. yesterday. Except for some rain before noon, I5 was clear and dry all the way. Only snow seen was coming out of the Siskiyou pass and it was all a good 20 feet or better off the road. Even Shasta wasn’t as covered as usual.
