Power train malfunction -reduced power.. Service Engine Soon warning,
And get this-
Gear selected will engage at low speed.
The engine sounds fine, but will not move forward in R, reverse in R.
2022 BS Badlands 2.0 liter, stacked
Just over 16,000 miles, my only vehicle.
The day after my third oil and filter change, I get in, start it like normal, flip dial to reverse, press accelerator, engine Baily revs and just goes toe idle with on accelerator. The first 2 errors are described on my phone in Ford Apps, and the first two are shown in dashboard error icons as a wrench and the engine. The message about gear engaging is in writing like any other notification on the dash.
I’m ticked off. I did not shell out gobs of money to Ford so I could experience this.
Roadside assistance would only tow to closest dealer, Anderson Ford. I called them a couple of hours earlier than tow truck arrival, and informed them of the issues and errors and informed them a tow truck be delivered.
they have now hadi it two days, and they Can’t provide any diagnosis and therefore can’t provide a loaner vehicle. Late this afternoon they said they were trying to decipher the codes , but because they dint have transmission specialist, would like need to have it towed to another dealer, and hopefully they would be able to read the error codes and hopefully give a diagnoses, and determine if I qualify for a loaner.
I have work to do, but no car to get to my office, and the dealer which is eight miles from my home would transport it to the other dealer nearly 100 miles away.
I could give a rats ass what code they are trying to interpret, because based on the messages in Ford app and on the dashboard there is something drastically messed up on the vehicle.
I’ve read of similar reports on line and owners getting jacked around by incompetent dealers for six to eight weeks only to end up with a new transmission, or waiting for parts.
When I have explained this and my greatest concern aside from the vehicle is that I need a loaner that they should pay for, they say they have none at this time, and they could set me up with a rental car from a rental company, but can’t guarantee they would reimburse me.
im livid, and they seem to have no sense of professionalism nor the right tools or staff, nor have they considered that I am losing money for each hour I am not working-and I ain’t going to be reimbursed for those losses.
This was a beautiful car by who I thought was a reputable car maker that would at a bare minimum take care of those tgat paid a very high price for a car, only to find I am getting the runaround.
Anybody have any ideas on how I can get a little consideration and demonstration that Ford stands behind their products.
It would be better if the damn car and Ford app had not displayed the error messages, because then at least I would have no clue what is going on.
