I never liked getting that comfortable. I've been on enough long hauls to just kind of be okay suffering through. I feel like the quickest way to doze off is to be doing nothing. I know that's not the case for everyone, but for me? I need to stay engaged. Many disagree, but my advice is learn to use and love all of your adaptive cruise control features on the highway and mountain roads. I find it makes driving much more relaxing and less stressful.
Are you planning on any unpaved roads?
Living in forested hill country in a northern latitude SiriusXM cut out so often I gave up a week into my free trial.I travel all over and have never had SiriusXM issues.
I've driven on numerous mountainous canyon roads during long road trips and have never had a SiriusXM reception problem except in the most extreme deep canyons and ravines.Living in forested hill country in a northern latitude SiriusXM cut out so often I gave up a week into my free trial.
Maybe I should have said "mountains."... With redwood trees. Pine trees and eucalyptus. I've since discovered that big trees to the south really mess with my Sirriusxm reception.Hills? Sure. Never had an issue.
Yep it’s satellite service - mountains typically are ok SiriusXM requires a clear, unobstructed line of sight to the satellites to receive a stable signal. If trees, buildings, or overpasses block this direct path, the signal will cut out.Maybe I should have said "mountains."... With redwood trees. Pine trees and eucalyptus.
