you park under alot of trees?
sometimes there is a air conditioning drain tube that can get plugged and cause this. not 100% sure on BS, but def seen it in other makes/models

If you haven't left your vehicle out in the rain or near sprinklers - is your windshield wiper fluid levels low? Definitely take it in to the Dealer to have a look.

Kind of a wide open question for us to guess. First figure out if it's water, coolant, windshield fluid or something spilled. If it's just water, could be it's a rain leak. If it rained where you are. Could be a faulty window seal or door seal or a sunroof issue, but we don't even know if you have that option. If it has coolant, someone didn't tighten a heater core hose. If it's fluid, could be an issue with the reservoir or the line that goes to the rear.

no sunroof. did not spill anything in car, and there are no traces of leaks around windows or door. i'll check the washer fluid but it appears to be water. carpet is wettest 2" above button for floor mat

First thing I would have looked at is the Condensate drain tube for the A/C , see if its dripping water on the ground when running . If you don't see it dripping , it's probably plugged to kinked or something else with it . Take it in its under warranty , just in case it's something odd .

I thought all BS had rubberized floors, not carpeting.

okay thanks. i checked the wiper fluid in the car and that was full. it's strange because everything is dry except the bottom of the carpet. where would the condensate tube be?
