Anyone found a overhead rifle storage system that tucks up tight, I've got one in my s×s but it penatrates the roof , so that's not a option on the BS , I'm thinking AR pistol or PCC , so fairly short , I've seen a few on the internet that are universal fit but was hoping someone has mounted one in a BS with good results , with the dangerous times we're living in it pays to be prepared.

Have you looked into the magnet mounts for underneath the dash or on the side of the console tunnel? Those would give you better access and less conspicuous than an overhead mount in my opinion.

He’s looking for rifle, not pistol.

Yeah for a rifle ,I've just about given up looking for something that hugs the ceiling like I want , I have found one that mounts behind the passenger seat, that locks the rifle in a upright position and has a lockbox for a pistol incorporated into it ,but it's kinda expensive 1400 dolhairs.and out of stock at extreme offroad.im just leaving my AR pistol in a soft case under the passenger seat ,you have to slide the seat forward all the way to get it out , and it's a cheap truck gun 80% lower so if I lose it ,it's not a big loss.although I'd really like a lockable solution in the future.

If it’s in a soft case, under the passenger seat, and the seat needs moved to get access then it’s not really for immediate protection from a threat. In that case why don’t you just throw a cable lock through the trigger and around some of the seat underneath.

Thought he said AR pistol. Agree that an AR-15 rifle will not work very well with magnetic mounts. Ford offers two firearm safes--one for center console and one underneath one of the rear seats on certain BS models. I also have a small portable safe (fingerprint lock) with a cable. Most of those options are for standard and compact pistols but would not provide easy access.

Yeah, finding the right storage solution can be tricky. Good luck with your search!
