I have a Badlands with 245/65R/17' Falkens, no issues. What is the reasoning for wanting to space out the wheels?

Thanks guys, I know that the 245/65/17 fit with no issues. Its the 20mm spacers with that combination I am concerned.

Just put on 245/65-17 Falken AT3's without a spacer and no issues with rubbing. I'm loving these Falkens so far!

So I guess the answer is no on the 20mm, to be frank wouldn't mind a 10mm spacer as well.

Yes just a tad. Even 10mm would be nice.

There are people on this board running 20mm spacers. Hit the magnifying glass/search icon, type in spacers click the search button and all kinds of post's will come up and you can read to your hearts content.

I'm running 245/70/16, which is the same diameter as 245/65/17, with a 25mm spacer. There was a slight rub with the liner but that has subsided. The Toyo tires I have do seem to be on the small side (measuring 29" vs the spec of 29.5"). I would say that the 20mm spacer would be fine.

Be aware that if you choose a 20mm spacer, you will not have to change the lug nuts. Although I think that changing out the stock lug nut with a sheet metal cover is a good idea. If you choose the 10mm spacer you will need new lug nuts.

I saw this but it seems they were running a lift kit not an OEM BL with the 245/65/17.

A lift kit will not stop larger size tires from rubbing. Tire rub on the BS typically occurs if the the steering wheel is at or close to full lock and the suspension is fully articulated. The rub location is at the back side (towards the cabin) of the wheel well. Larger tire sizes increase the amount of rub, from barely touching to having to trim the pinch welds.
