So far, for me, there is nothing I would change.. I mean I knew what I was buying and did about 3 months of deep dive into reviews, articles, and owner testimonials ... I do that on every vehicle I buy though so not new to this one.

I will say though that, so far, I have not experienced any of the many issues stated in this thread. No paint chips, no abnormal scratches, hood is solid even at 80 MPH.

There is a wish list I would love to have but all that would do is just add $$$ to the vehicle and at that point might as well just get the big Bronco.

My problem is that no one makes the vehicle that I want for the North American market. Of the ones you can get here, the bronco sport is one of the closest fits and it misses the mark in a few key areas. I genuinely like it, and do not bemoan its off road limitations and am going to have fun wandering the northern reaches of Canada in it for sure. It will make a terrific low rent overland truck.
Other markets - where trucks have not been poisoned by the idea that bigger is better and it isn’t a truck if it cannot tow a house - make some delightful vehicles with very capable 4x4 systems and Diesel engines at affordable prices.
As my interests have evolved, I am wishing I had bought a Ranger. The market in Canada is not such that I can swap my bronco sport for one. No one here is nuts enough to pay massive mark ups for a used vehicle when you can just walk in and buy a new one with zero mark up. Dealers have them just sitting there. I would take a huge hit in a trade in. But again, the Ranger needs a diesel engine and a six speed - not ten - automatic or a manual transmission. The truck hunts too much and even my dealership says that the transmission is an annoying piece of work.

Test drove a ranger, a lot more power then my Taco had. Ford, imo, has solid trucks but they do not have the resell value anywhere near that of the Tacoma. With that said if I was going to buy a new mid-size truck again it would be the Ranger.

You should check out the Ranger Tremor... now that is a nice truck.

That is the one that appeals. I am going to wait as I would be under water big time if o traded now. Once I do trade out, I am hoping for a Ranger Tremor hybrid. That would be sweet. I really like the look of that truck.
