This bulletin supersedes 24-2386. Reason for update: update the Service Procedure and Part List. Model: Ford 2021-2024 Bronco Sport 2019-2024 Edge 2020-2024 Escape 2022-2024 Maverick Lincoln 2020-2024 Corsair 2019-2023 Nautilus Markets: North American markets only Issue: Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit all of the following conditions: NOTE: Three (3) new Essential Special Service Tools (ESSTs) are required to service the internal clutch pack on vehicles equipped with a single active torque RDU only. These ESSTs are expected to ship to all dealers (US, Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico) in September 2025. ESST packages were shipped to 100 selected dealers in the US and Canada in May 2025, based on RDU part sales activity. The RDU Internal Clutch Kit and Adhesive Sealant are currently under restricted ordering to ensure ample supply of parts are available to dealers with the ESSTs. All parts are expected to be available for open order by Q4 2025, when the ESSTs are planned to arrive at all dealers. NOTE: For dealers with the ESSTs and a vehicle in the service department that requires a repair using the new RDU Internal Clutch Kit, submit a VIN-specific No FSA General Contact via the Special Service Support Center (SSSC) Web Contact Site. Type part numbers K2GZ-7C108-A and SU7Z-19B508-A in the comments and attach a copy of the repair order documenting the customer complaint. Action: For vehicles that meet all the criteria in the Issue and Model statements, follow the Service Procedure to repair the vehicle based on ESST availability and vehicle line parameters.

I have the same in badlands 2021 with twin clutch RDU . What's need replace?

I experienced the shuttering issue on my 2023 and Ford agreed to replace my RDU unit , the shipped unit was defective and my Service Manager had to locate a replacement this resulted in a several week delay for work to be completed. After all the delay work was completed and unfortunately the shutter remained cause believed to be the Cylinder deactivate. Today is June 2026 and I traded it in on a 2026 Escape St Line Hybrid. I thoroughly enjoyed the Bronco Sport but the shutter was very annoying and disruptive to my enjoyment as I want to experience several areas in my State which have low speed drivable viewing. A new chapter begins.

The Parts and Tools required for the RDU are listed but as stated earlier it’s not clear these apply to Badlands

There’s not a lot of RDU detail in the doc, the following is listed so besides Badlands RDU parts you would need the listed WSM

Internal Clutch Pack Service Procedure

1. Remove the rear axle assembly. Refer to WSM, Section 205-02 > Rear Drive Axle/Differential.

2. Replace the internal clutch assembly. Refer to WSM, Section 205-02 > Rear Drive Axle/Differential > Internal
Clutch Pack

3. For Maverick vehicles only, repair is complete.

4. For Bronco Sport/Escape/Corsair vehicles, proceed to RDU Vent Service Procedure
