The next-generation Tesla Roadster is shaping up to be the most advanced production car ever built. Co-developed with SpaceX, it will hit 0 to 60 in under 1 second and feature a steer-by-wire system with F1-grade steering ratios through a patented 340-degree actuator. Two recently published patents reveal an active downforce system that sucks the car to the ground at any speed and ultra lightweight one piece seats that flex when reclined to save weight. The unveiling is expected in late April with production following 12 to 18 months later.
