Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse AT 245/65/17. Only 31 lbs. each. Should be a little lighter after I finish De-Nibbing them.

They’re 31 lbs? Ive been looking for some light 245/65/17 to pair with my RTR rims that are wasting away in the garage. I was pretty sure I was going to go either Cooper Discoverer or Forestone Destination, but was not aware that these were also this light.Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse AT 245/65/17. Only 31 lbs. each. Is this technique something like manscaping? Perhaps to create the illusion of a bigger tire?Auto detailing 101. Just finished. There were hundreds of them.![]()
That is the weight given on TireSize.com. I didn't want something that was going to kill gas mileage and these fit the bill. They’re 31 lbs? Thank you. I’ll add them to my watchlist for tire discounts. I believe Goodyear just went through a major rebate promotion. Is that what you took advantage of?That is the weight given on TireSize.com. I didn't want something that was going to kill gas mileage and these fit the bill.
They look amazing and should be great!! Do you have the factory hitch to allow fitting a full size spare or what did you decide for a spare?? I'd like to do the same to my Big Bend and I don't have the factory hitch.Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse AT 245/65/17. Only 31 lbs. each. Should be a little lighter after I finish De-Nibbing them.

I don't have a hitch and still have the space saver spare in the well. How’s your MPG with them? I have K02s now that’ll probably need to get replaced soon
Given the increase in tire width, you may incur a drag penalty on highway mileage. Wind drag has a much greater impact on fuel economy than most people think.I don't have a hitch and still have the space saver spare in the well.
Just got them yesterday but mpg shouldn't change much. They are only a pound or two heavier than the OE Conti's. KO2's tend to be pretty heavy. I have them on my F-150. You would definitely see an improvement in mpg with the Goodyears @31 lbs.
