I just brought home a 2021 Bronco Sport Badlands and have some initial questions for yall.

It's got the rubber floor with carpet-like detachable floor mats. I want to get WeatherTech or the Ford branded mats. Anyone have a preference for mats?

I've got blue fluid collecting below the front facing camera. Does this always indicate a leak? I'm not seeing a blue puddle.

Does anybody have an extra cargo table? Mine has the shelf for it but didn't come with one.

Anybody have a suggestion for a good phone mount to affix somewhere around the dash?

Current Sync version is 3.4.22200. Ford is suggesting to upgrade to 3.4.23188. Any downside of always keeping current with updates?

I've found the "miles to empty" calculation to be extremely unreliable, its way off. I think its affected when the car sits running (like with remote start). Am I missing something here?

the factory mats design will match the design of the cup holder and pocket rubber inserts, and rear cargo floor.

its leaking. theres a thread about replacing the check valve

good luck getting someone to part with one of those. they seem to be a rare configuration.

im not a tech guy at all, but being a 21 i would probably update it.

mpg is based on average so yes idle time will lower the number

Welcome to the forum. We bought a 2022 BS Badlands last November. It also had the rubber floor covering with carpeted mats. I opted for the FORD rubber mats, they are a perfect fit and are easy to remove to clean. If you look around you can find a set that has the front and rear mats. Ours came from FORD PARTS GIANT. There are several sources. Here is a link to FORD PARTS GIANT.

In what way? Check your owner's manual in the "Fuel and Refueling" section. In it you'll see the following:

In addition, the fuel tank contains an empty
reserve. The empty reserve is an
unspecified amount of fuel that remains
in the fuel tank when the fuel gauge
indicates empty.

I use Android Auto exclusively to interact with my phone while driving. I purchased a 1ft long USB cable, which is just long enough to allow the phone to slide into the small net pocket on the passenger side of the center console. If I need to look at the phone I pull over.

Well, that isn't very helpful. They know what it should be. They could at least cite a range.

It's likely Ford doesn't want owners to drive using the empty reserve. It's there for an emergency or mistake, but shouldn't be used on a regular basis. The electric fuel pump sits in a well at the bottom of the tank and relies on fuel for cooling. If you continue driving on the empty reserve the fuel level will drop below that required to provide adequate cooling for the pump.

I bought the Ford plastic liners for my Badlands. I think they fit and work great.

Like others have mentioned, there is a recent thread regarding the leaking front camera washer.

If your Badlands has the mounting “wings” for the cargo shelf, it was originally supplied with one. The good news is the actual shelf is the easiest to replace. If you did not have the rear panels that included the supports, changing out those panels is expensive.

I bought the Carlinkit 5 wireless phone adapter and leave mine in my pocket unless I’m on a long trip where I plug it in to save the battery and place it in the bin below the hvac controls.

I have the latest sync but really can’t give you a good answer as to should you update.

The miles to empty is an average based on your estimated miles per gallon. I haven’t found it to be way off but then I try not to wait to the last drop to refill.

Welcome to the forum.

WeatherTech floor liners here - work great.

Phone holder plugs into that extra hole between the cupholders. Win win. Had a 3D buddy make it for me. Somebody should make them - got the idea from a post here about the fob holder sold on Etsy.

I filled my tank up full this week, the Miles Remaining said 176 afterward. I've driven it 45 miles since then, it currently says 170 remaining. Last week the miles remaining actually increased by 10 after i drove it to work that day.

That happens if the previous tank had particularly bad mileage, (a lot of idling time, towing etc.) or the new tank, has improved mileage.

It takes it a while to catch up.

I have the WeatherTechs, they dont fit great at the rockers. I complained to WeatherTech who sent me replacements via Amazon, which are no better. I have just learned to live with it

I tried the Course Motorsports Direct Fit phone mount which I really liked until the glue of the tape that holds the magnet let go. I tried 3M double-sided tape, same result. It might be the iPhone construction/material, but a waste of money for me regardless

My Sync updates all on its own, I couldn't tell you what build I'm on

The Ford floor mats are great. The cargo area mat is also worth the money.

As for the Miles to Empty calculation, it can change based on the recent MPG the vehicle is returning. I've got about 18K miles on my Bronco Sport, and the Miles to Empty figure has generally been pretty accurate.

Mine came with the Ford liners but I ordered some weathertech as they cover a larger area behind the peddles.
