There are two new A/T tires on or coming to market soon that may be of interest to the more serious off-Roaders out there. Sometime last year (?) Falken brought to market the Wildpeak R/T, a hybrid tire, between their Mud Terrain and the Wildpeak A/T3W. Although no sizes currently exist that fit the BS, it would appear to be a great tire and we can only hope that Falken, will give us some BS appropriate sizes, in the near future, so, I'm calling out here to, @Falken QA to see if there are any plans for this tire to come out in our sizes, preferably XL load rated? https://www.falkentire.com/wildpeak/rt
The second tire of interest is MileStar's Patagonia A/T Pro. Unlike the falken they have announced several sizes of possible interest to BS owners, the ones I'd be most interested in are the 245/65/17 and the 255/65/17. Unfortunately, I do not see them listed, as for sale, anywhere yet. MileStar's tires are usually a little cheaper than their competition are are generally well regarded in the Off-Road community. The A/T Pro also appears to be an aggressive Hybrid tire, that they rate highly for both Snow and Off Road use, with a 55.000 mile warranty. As @Discount Tire is a Forum sponsor and sells MileStar tires, I'll call out to them here, if and when these tires might be available? https://milestartires.com/light-trucks/patagonia-at-pro/
Both of the above appear to be aggressive Hybrid A/T tires that remind me of my Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T's, that I am very happy with but I would like to see something similar in a 235/70/17, 245/70/16 or a 235/75/16. I'll also point out that the Mickey's did very well in TR's Winter testing, beating out both The Wildpeak AT3W and the Toyo Open Country A/T3 by a larger margin than they lost by in TR's regular testing.
