I've was going to bring this issue up after my trip to Iowa in July but forgot about it. 2021 Badlands with nav.

On the driver's instrument cluster under the nav menu, you can bring up POI's along your route and a distance & direction is shown.

Keeping this screen up, and while driving, the distances never change no matter how far I drive.

I had a 2018 Escape Titanium, Sync 3 with nav, and I'm 99% sure when I had the POI screen displayed to fuel, the distances changed while I was driving.

I've attached a couple of pics to clarify what I'm talking about. Am I missing a setting somewhere or is this the new Sync 3?

You have to open Navigation on the Sync unit. POI is a point of interest. You need to ask for a POI and Navigation will give you directions to get there.

I realize most people use carplay or AA now a days. I prefer the built in nav.

Using the menu button on the steering wheel and bringing up the navigation selection, you can select a POI shown on the drivers screen and it will navigate you to it without doing anything on the center screen.

On the 2nd photo it shows 4 POI's. I remember on my Escape, even if you didn't select 1 of them for a destination, the mileage and direction would adjust as you continued to drive. Not happening with the sport.

Just basing all this from driving my previous 2018 Escape with Sync 3. Maybe something changed on Sync 3 in 2021.

What version of Sync 3.4 are you running?

What version of Nav maps do you have installed?

I had this on my screen. But as I drive the direction arrows and distance never change like they did on my 2018 Escape.

Can you verify this changes on your sport while driving? Thanks

The distance will not change while you are driving.
This is when I was parked.

You can select any of these from the menu and Navigation will guide you to that location.
