Here is my 21 Bronco Sport. 245/65/17 Falken Wildpeak ATW3s. 17" KMC KM721s. No lift. No scrubbing at all. This is definitely the best tire size on stock height. Wheel offset is key though. We tried to put these tires on -12 offset and 0 offset wheels and no luck. Factory wheels or +35 (or higher) aftermarket wheels allow for this size tire.

The falken wild peaks atw3’s are a solid choice! I had them on my ‘03 Ford Escape and I loved them! I went with general grabbers personally on my build because they were readily available, but once these need replacing I’ll probably go back to falken!

So those are +38 off-set, right?

Now that you have put some miles on them how do you like them, any "excessive" noise or vibration during commutes?

Yes these are +38. I have not noticed any excessive road noise and zero vibration.

...and, this is on a Base model, already 1" shorter than the BL or FE; but also, the Base has less wheel travel/articulation than the BL. This tire (and wheel) handles all kinds of terrain, angles, etc. with no rubbing at all for you then? That is good news, with this 29.5" tire. Makes me wonder if the 245/70-R17 tire (30.5") would really fit a Badlands on stock wheels and no other modifications or not?

The Yakima platform, with locking tower mounts, brackets, etc. (lots of accessories for their platform racks) gets very expensive very fast -- but, it's a system that lets you mount the platform directly to the the towers connected to your roof rails -- rather than installing crossbars first. Should save a few inches' height. (I'd think that the roof rails are designed so that you don't need any additional height to clear the moonroof glass when opened?) The BS BL Trail Rig Concept is clearly using this system -- looks like a Yakima 'B' platform rack, Timberline towers with SL adapters (locks added maybe), and clamps directly to the rack (no crossbars). $1,000-plus, though. And you can install load corners and barriers to make your own "basket" up there, or just install one of their baskets (but why? I'd prefer the versatility of the flat platform, add barriers if/when needed). Jerry cans, rescue boards, a new rug -- anything could go up there, wow!

After reading threads about working out lift kit complications and over stock sized tire rubbing. I think I'll remain stock. I just like the way my BS base rides and handles too much to change things.

Question for you, do the Falken’s get worse Meg’s than the stock ones? I am considering switching out the Pirelli scorpions for the Falkens Bc of the more aggressive look.

Honestly not sure about worse MPGs. My guess would be it is slightly worse but not really noticeable.

That's a clever looking claw/clamp on these crossbars...like might even be better-fitting than the Timberline towers (Yakima).

Can you post the links to these items on amazon? Your sport is looking awesome!

I just recently installed the Falken Wildpeak AT/3W on my BB but I stayed with 225/65R17 on my stock rims. I will have the grab that I need and speedo stays the same. Just saying.
