And that's the only thing I miss about our old big bend.

I recall there was some kind of plug or cap for an F150 that went somewhere on the intake or PCV line that some were using to let more induction and turbo noise out. But I can't find info on it anymore.

I've also thought about adding a blow off valve. The only bolt on option so far is a Turbosmart VTA. Which is just a pressure releif. Which is fine, I have the dual port on my focus ST. I really do prefer the tial BOV sound though, and feel like a BOV on an automatic would be weird.

Any thoughts? Anyone know what I'm talking about with the F150 mod?

Pardon my ignorance , what the heck is exaggerated turbo flutter ?

By the way, I love it when that turbo kicks in in Sport mode in my BSBB !

Cheers !

PS Can you think of a reference that simplifies how the 1.5 turbo works ?

With the 2.0 you can do the cheep mod for blow off noise same as the F150 with an Ecoboost.
On the 1.5 the BOV is built into the turbo so there is nothing you can do.
Some people say adding a CAI or K&N filter to the 1.5 adds more intake and blow off noise.

I have a Badlands myself, for me I'm not interested in having more noise, the A T tires I have make enough noise, sounds like some big four wheeler going down the street.

Boomba Racing has a BOV for the Sport, though I bought mine for $85 four years ago. It still puts a smile on my face

Yea, I plugged the turbo return line on both my F150 and our BS as soon we got it. I used one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCBK5N27?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

On my truck, it just dumps out all the excess boost in one whoosh. On the BS with the 2.0, it does the "stu-tu-tu" thing which is hilarious coming out of the BS. It turns heads and you get the "wtf?" look all the time from people. 🤣

…is this something that’s on the new 2.0? Or… no? I’m always looking for ways to get more turbo sound. 😊

It should be the same. This is the video I used to see where the VTA plug goes. He made it unnecessarily long. Fast forward to 10:00 to hear what it sounds like, but it sounds different while driving.....sounds "cooler".

At the 9 minute mark is where he shows which line you disconnect from the back of the intake inlet tube and needs to be plugged.

If I remember, I'll make a quick video of ours tonight when I get home from work.

I put a Boomba blow off valve adapter in mine already. I wonder if this would make it louder. lol

Does the BOV vent to air, or does it vent into a tube that returns the air back into the intake? If it already vents to air, then doing this would be redundant.

gotcha. It’s a vent to air.

@rugyes that is the video i seen before, cpuldnt find it sercing all kinds of key words.

For $4 - $20 I'll probably do this hokie way and see if I get some laughs lol.

If I decide to do it right I'll but the turbosmart. I know boomba has the adapter but you still use factory bypass valve.

Yea, I posted in another thread when I did it months ago when we first got it.

See attached. You car hear it when I let off the throttle, but sounds better in person.

Edit: Mine is tuned, so results may vary.
