I installed Sync 3.4 23188 in my '23 OBX. I then bought and installed map update NA 2 22. My wife's '20 Ecosport was having Sync problems. I took it to the dealer, and they updated her sync to version 3.4 23188, the same version as my OBX. The question is can I use the same USB I bought to update her navigation to NA 2 22 like mine, or do I have to buy a new one?

I have a 2019 Edge with same Sync build as my 24 Bronco Sport, so same question as OP.

Ford Nav is specific to a VIN

various people have posted their SYNC update files online for others to use (some restrictions there too) however the same cannot be done for Ford Nav updates - that works only for the specific VIN.

You get a specific license with a map update. It won't install on two vehicles.

I thought you couldn't update SYNC 3 to SYNC 4 ?

I was quoting the original poster about going from 3 to 4.

Which post? I see the 3.4 post but donā€™t see a post about going from 3 to 4.
"My wife's '20 Ecosport was having Sync problems. I took it to the dealer, and they updated her sync to version 4.3 23188, the same version as my OBX." ...... Unless I misunderstood his post and her Ecosport already had 4.3.

Maybe just a typo, the version is:

SYNC 3, Software Version: 3.4 Build 23188 PRODUCT

In that persons post, they correctly used 3.4 for their ā€˜23 OBX and for their ā€˜20 Ecosport I wouldnā€™t know for sure but since it is a 2020 I will make a guess that it is also Sync 3 but I do not know for Ecosports.

ā€œā€¦installed Sync 3.4 23188 in my '23 OBX. I then bought and installed map update NA 2 22. My wife's '20 Ecosport was having Sync problems. I took it to the dealer, and they updated her sync to version 4.3 23188..ā€

This Ford website says 2020 Ecosport is Sync 3.

What part of AZ are you in, I lived in Mesa 10 years then Tucson 9 years, liked Tucson better.
