Light bar location decision, help

How should I install my light bar?

So I would like everyone’s opinion on how I should mount my front light bar. I am attaching it to the front of my roof rack and I can’t decide between having it hang from the mounts or sit on top of the mounts.
Here are some pics to help visualize what I mean. Understand these are just test fits so things aren’t level or centered.

I would prefer the hanging but before doing it I would check the light pattern and make sure it isn’t obstructed too much by the front edge of the roof. Just double check the light pattern and see if that has any affect on your decision.

Both look ok, i give the nod to the top mount, it looks cleaner on the side view.

This. In addition, I would temp mount it and drive on the highway in both position. You may find that one or the other creates unacceptable wind noise.

I agree with meanderthal. The hanged one is better looking. Be sure which of the positions least interacts with the wind once the noise is unbearable.
