Lets see those DIY roof racks!!!!

I'm really thinking about getting a Roof Rack on my BL for when I go camping, I see many pics of different SUV but I want to see on BS.

Just put this together today. I bought 1 10ft unistrut like bar and then 3 smaller two foot bars and bolted them together. Then I used a square U bolt to fix the rack to my rails.

Out there somewhere in the world somebody makes rubber end cap pieces for the unistrut. Just thought I would throw that out there as those exposed ends can be hazardous.

Yeah I still need to paint it and I was thinking about getting those.

A quick and dirty set of crossbars for the occasional Lowe's or Home Depot lumber run. (1) 10ft 2x4 required and some time in the shop. Easy to mount, no mounting tools required, easy to store. The strap goes under the rails to hold the "bars" down. The outside holes in the bars are set for 4x8 plywood. An additional strap around all of the the boards, "clamping them together so the center ones could not slide out, had been removed before I took these pics. NOT to be used for highway speeds!
