Kayak rack with factory cross bars - Thule Dock Grip?

I just picked up a new 14' Kayak and would like to add some kind of carrier from either Yakima or Thule to attach to the factory cross bars on my Sport.
I prefer not to use the "J" type rack and would rather mount it like the model posted below. Has anyone tried these on the factory cross bars?

I have had the Thule Stacker for about 5 years and works great....One kayak on either side.
