Was topping up my washer fluid, when I noticed this on my battery today. Anyone know what it is? Is it normal?

It looks like it's not normal to my untrained eye, but any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Normally the product i see applied is colored red or bluey purple that which protects the terminals from corrosion…not sure if there are new colors…rust color in this case :), let us know after they check it

best way to see if there is a leak is to clean it off and see if it comes back
way easier than spending the time at a halfaxed dealer.

You should not clean it off. It there to help protect the terminals. I just had the dealer install a new battery on my F150 and told them to put an anti corrosion grease on the terminals. That is the correct color.
