Is FordPass update automatic or manual?

New member with a 23 Big Bend. Purchased new. Wondering when the Ford Pass system updates info on the phone. Is it an automatic process or does one have to initiate the update somehow? Thanks

What info are you referring to? Once you sync to your BS all the data should be up to date.

As long as your system is configured to call home to mama on occasion it should update automatically. Look in your owner's manual for information about configuring system communication. I believe it's referred to as "connected services."

Basic info like fuel gauge, distance to empty and the odometer. Did it once.

I've only used the auto update feature, so far I have not had any issue's doing it that way and my BS is a 2021 model year.

That basic info should always be up-to-date.
