I never thought I would own a Japanese vehicle, but...
I won a 2025 Toyota Tacoma in a drawing a couple of months back. I got a call from the event sponsor a week before the event telling me I was one of five finalists for the drawing (I was entered because I was registered for the Shamrock Run here in Portland). They asked me to come to the convention center to be present for the drawing the day before the run. I went with the mindset that I would be a good sport and shake the hand of the winner, but the winner turned out to be me!
My OBX is still my daily driver, though.

Well congrats to you but I think this sucks for me. I’m doing my first triathlon of the year tomorrow and the run is last, so the toughest. After a couple miles when all the negative thoughts creep in, I now get to add “why don’t I get a truck for running a race?”

The sticker for the Tacoma was very close to the sticker on my OBX. My OBX feels much more refined than the Tacoma. The Tacoma climate controls are crap and the interior is very plasticy. The 4 banger is very peppy, though and it does have "real" 4WD. I don't think I would ever buy one, but free is a very good price.
