I’m redoing mine at the moment.
On my mix bank at work, velocity blue has three variants (lighter, normal, darker). And although, 99% of the time, the color looks right, there’s always been certain circumstances where the blue was slightly lighter.
So, I mixed up some “Darker” and holy crap, the color is spot on.
With that said, since I’ve taken it back apart to repaint, and using pieces salvaged from a cheap badge I got off eBay, I have an idea that’ll tie some of my more recent modifications together.
Anyways, I’ll add a few photos of the “darker” velocity blue I mixed up in comparison to the initial one.
The last photo, is the insert of the d in (Ford) and the little dot in the curl of the F, and that’s been cleared a few days ago… the Ford circle in the two prior photos don’t have clear on it at the moment, as I painted that piece today and I didn’t realize I completely ran out when I painted my calipers.
So, now to order more 2K clear.
