I just got a Big Bend. I really dig it. Trying to do all the affordable upgrades and accessories. The one thing that I don't like is the lack of grip on the steering wheel. ( I have dry hands). I don't want to sew a leather steering wheel cover on. Is there anything I can put on the steering wheel to make it less plastic-y? Beeswax? Something natural but not too sticky? Thanks for the help y'all.

Seriously, they make covers like this out of leather (or other materials) that might work for you. Search for "steering wheel cover" over at Amazon. The number and variety is truly staggering. And yes, you can buy one like that pictured!

i would refrain from any type of wax etc, you'll never get it off and most likely have to replace the steering wheel at some point. best advice is to use a cover, as posted above.

Sounds like another pine tar incident in the making.

Mine supposedly has the leather wheel upgrade, but man, Ford "leather" steering wheels sure seem plasticky and awful. If you don't want to fatten it up with a wheel cover, then a wrap is your only other choice. There's a lot of ways to re-cover it.

UPDATE: it seems like the wheel is actually getting less slippery over time. Hopefully it continues to do so. Peace.

It might have had a detailing product applied during PDI that should not go on steering wheels.
Now that you are wearing it off by touching the wheel is getting less slippery.
You might try cleaning the wheel and see if that helps.
