How to enable Traffic Sign Recognition and Speed Sign Recognition in 2025 BS Badlands?

I recently purchased a 2025 BS Badlands. I understand Speed Sign Recognition and Speed Limit Assist should be included with this package. The online owner's manual for my vehicle indicates they should be under the Driver Assistance Menu but, I have not been able to find them there.

Could someone tell me if it is hidden elsewhere and how to enable the alerts? (I can't afford any more speeding tickets!)

might be under the cruise control menu...then you would want to activate the intelligent mode to be able to set the tolerances for the speed limit recognition

I believe they are part of Adaptive Cruise Control? And I believe you need the Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 package.

Just a note … when going through say a school zone when school is not in session, speed sign recognition will recognize the school zone speed limit - says it’s 25mph or 15mph, whatever it is just be prepared for the Bronco Sport to possibly slow down abruptly

perhaps the 2025-26 models are much smarter, I disabled speed sign recognition on my ‘22

Mine was picking up the 45mph on the feeder while I was cruising at 75mph!

I left the sign recognition on but turned off the speed change setting. I liked it on normal highways but it was too dangerous for me to use.

Agreed, I just want the alerts that the speed limit changed and I'm now speeding.

Do you have the tech package? Mistakenly, I overlooked this on my 25 BSBL and miss the Speed Sign Recognition.

I did enable it using FORScan, though it is not reliable at all. I believe it's because of the lack of GPS navigation. On my Mustang it gets the Speed Sign from GPS and sometimes even changes speed before the sign is even in sight.

Connect Car Play and open Google Maps. It starts on mine every time I turn on the car. It will display both your speed and the speed limit on the map. It is getting this date from your phone. It used to only do that if you had a route put in, but in an update last week it displays all the time as well as the map. If you are in an area without cell service and you turn off your car, it will not show up. But if it is on when you loose cell coverage, it will stay on for a while. As the above post says, if you don't have the tech package you don't have GPS in the car. It's actually amazing how accurate it is - as soon as you pass a speed limit sign that change the speed limit, it changes on your map. Very handy!

No, from everything I can find itsounds like it SHOULD be included in the Badlands even without the tech package.

Thanks! I found I could use Waze in the manner you described and it is supposed to provide an audible alarm when you exceed the tolerance you define.

We frequently have road work with temporary speed limit reductions. I will have to see if Waze continues to show the normal speed limit or if it is advanced enough to show the temporarily reduced speed limit.

I've never tried Forscan. I may have to get a copy to see what it can do with this issue and the oil life system (I would like alerts before I get all the way down to 5% of oil life remaining).

Thank you! I love the adaptive cruise control feature. Unfortunately, I can't find anything about Intelligent Active Cruise Control or Speed Sign Recognition in the Driver Assistance screens, even though it is listed in my owner's manual.
