Hey all -

My dealer just texted me to tell me that they can't change my order to a reservation on their end and asked if I could come in so that they could help me convert it on my end. Doesn't sound like anyone else has had this issue? If you had to convert your own account, how did you do it?

Not sure if the terminology is what is throwing the dealer off, but I assume you meant the other way around. As in converting a reservation to an order.

Maybe @Granger Ford could help out with the steps.

I think you want to convert the reservation to an order. They might want you to go in to specify that the build you reserved is the one you want to order and if not make changes. This might be a dealership that requires a deposit to place an order. Some are able to convert over the phone without a deposit.

You already should have the reservation by logging into Ford and doing that...

Dealerships convert them into orders on the WBDO system...

Quick question Albert (@Granger Ford) Dealers are supposed to be able to modify the original reservation then convert it to an order on the WBDO system correct?

Apparently my dealer doesn't know exactly how to do that. They said they'll contact Ford to see how they can go about modifying it.

Tell them it is just like the Bronco Sport was...

Sorry too much back and forth with the B6G and Sport forums ...

Should have ended with

Yes that is how it works...
Albert,
My online account says... In-Store Order date...

I assumed its because the dealer was helping me update my order? Is there a way to get a print out of the order?

Thanks.

Yes it does mean the dealership has processed the order for Ford to see on their end...

As for the printout the dealership should be able to do that easily for you...

It will need to be a manager that has access to the WBDO system...

Usually not the salespeople...

Albert -

My account currently shows the below. Is this standard for in-store orders? I was looking forward to watching the little bubble move closer to delivery lol

That is what mine looks like too. I contacted my dealer and she confirmed all was well. She could print what I ordered but said it was not completely available to her, probably because of my paint choice.

When your car gets a VIN # then you can see the steps of the process. (The bubble you speak of)
