Had a leak in my coolant about a year ago. Ford came out and "fixed" the issue that I believe was paid for out of pocket. Fast forward to today and the issue is back and I have had to buy extra coolant or else it runs out in about 1-2 weeks. I called and made an appointment for it to be fixed again and I was told that they "recognize that they never fixed it right" but won't cover the expense and I am supposed to pay again for an issue that was never properly taken care of. I cancelled the appointment. I shouldn't have to pay double for an issue that wasn't fixed properly the first time. Would love for someone to get in touch with me.

You’ll have to contact them directly. Ford doesn’t monitor this forum.

Assuming the vehicle in your profile has the problem.
Your vehicle should be under the bumper to bumper warranty and be covered for the repair.

If you paid for service out of pocket, Ford has a service warranty of 24 months for parts and labor.
How can the dealer deny performing the repair again while admitting it wasn't done correctly to begin with.

Something doesn't make sense.

You are very vague regarding the past issue. Can you share with us what was replaced or repaired?

Was it the water pump that was leaking?

One sentence, three questions...

1. "Ford came out" - as in mobile services? They came to you?
2. In my head, "fixed" being in quotes feels like *air quotes* to me, what is the significance of this?
3. You *believe* it was paid for out of pocket? - a year ago wasn't waaaay back in the past.

Sorry, it's 3 am and I have a crappy back issue so I'm not sleeping.

Yes it was the water pump I believe. Coolant would run out super fast. No heat. Chamber was bone dry. Had to buy jugs of coolant to keep filling up.

1. Came out as came out to my house and fixed it.

2. Fixed in quotes was bc it seems to in fact, not be fixed.

3. I don't remember if it was covered under initial warranty or if I paid for it but I don't have that info on hand currently to be sure.

Bummer. Figured they might bc they have reached out to me bc of past issues that I have posted on this forum in the past.

I think you'll need to see what they did. Did they replace the water pump and flush the cooling system? Or did they just top off your coolant reservoir?
