First hill climb with the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT tires. Made light work of the hill today!

so like all videos it doesnāt capture just how steep the hill is. Previously I had tried that particular hill with my 2023 Bronco with mud terrains and couldnāt make it up. The Bronco just seemed to lose momentum and then just dig down. The Sport just seemed to fly up.My 24 outer Banks came with Michelin all season. They don't work very well off road. I tried a couple of hill climbs near Phoenix and only made it half way up.
for me I really havenāt needed a super low gear. What I have found is that Iām using manual mode to lock in first gear especially for a hill climb like this with a loose surface. Once the sport shifts itās over! The sport looses so much power on the shifts and falls on its face⦠it has a very hard time recovering. So just lock it in first and GO!!!I wish they would have given the baby bronco a super low gear instead of a transfer case. The terrain near Phoenix was sand and gravel.
Thatās actually a vintage MRT plate cover! We donāt have any of those on hand anymoreāpretty much a collectorās item at this point.Hey fishingjts, where did you find those hills at? I as well live in Michigan looking for places to go to. Also I noticed that you had an MRT license plate cover. I didn't know that they had those available i would've gotten one. They did my exhaust a couple weeks ago
No wonder why I didn't see any at your shop.Thatās actually a vintage MRT plate cover! We donāt have any of those on hand anymoreāpretty much a collectorās item at this point.
I put on KO2s and was able to have a lot of fun around Phoenix. I never did get around to putting on a lift but the tires alone made a huge difference. Check out some of my older videos with the Sport, they're all around AZ.My 24 outer Banks came with Michelin all season. They don't work very well off road. this is what we always called The Pit when I was much younger.Hey fishingjts, where did you find those hills at? I as well live in Michigan looking for places to go to. Yep, Iām guessing that plate cover is close to 20 years old! It has held up amazingly well!Thatās actually a vintage MRT plate cover! We donāt have any of those on hand anymoreāpretty much a collectorās item at this point.
Oh really, had know Idea that there where trails kind of close to the house. Closer that some others that I have been to. Thanks for the infothis is what we always called The Pit when I was much younger.. It is just west of Rose City and north of Rose City road. Of course the big hill is Bull Gap by Mio. I havenāt been there since the ice storm. Need to go back soon.
And good eye catching the plate cover!

So just over 2 months with my BS. Coming up on 9,000 miles. Iām on my 4th set of tires. I buy a lot of tires so I didnāt feel guilty using the satisfaction guarantee. I had the KO2. I liked them but found them too heavy. I switched to the Mickey Thompsonās. They are lighter and more aggressive. And yes I can feel the weight difference.I put on KO2s and was able to have a lot of fun around Phoenix. I never did get around to putting on a lift but the tires alone made a huge difference.
