Help! Towing my BS from low clearance parking garage

Electrical system is freaking out and my BS BB won’t start or turn over. Can’t even put it into neutral. I’m in a 7 foot clearance parking garage. Any tips or look outs for getting this thing towed without ruining the drive train??

If you haven’t done it already, check the owners manual on how to engage neutral or you can search here as it’s come up in previous threads. Hoping the system freak out doesn’t prevent you getting into neutral but it can be done w/o power on.

The issue is my 2001 BS won’t start with no prior warning. Full accessory power mode works but when I press on, the headlights, interior lights, all the dash lights, and the alternator (I think, ant least, it’s a clicking inside the hood somewhere) all turn on in unison about ten times. The engine doesn’t even try to turn over. Then nothing, except for “Park break fault service now”.

Anyone have any experience with this?

measure your battery voltage and see what it is. might be as simple as needing a jump to get it out then a new battery after if that was the issue

2021 big bend. Happened to me luckily in my driveway. Original battery died. As to getting into neutral????? Sorry.

If you haven’t replaced your battery yet, and yours is a 2021 … then suggest to do it now anyway as it’s probably reached its lifespan. Strange electrical behaviors and non starting are most likely related to battery charge.

Two things to consider.
1. Read the Transmission section of the Manual(mine is page 168) to disengge the "manual park release cable" for towing. Read manual first. Prevents ruining the tranny while towing.
2. Last time my battery freaked out I bought a NOCO boost after battery replacement. I don't ever leave home without it. It will start your car so you can drive to the dealer to get the battery replaced. When your battery gets low the computer shuts down some of the systems usually with warnings. If you ignore the warnings and don't have your system checked immediately your vehicle will probably stop soon.

Parking garage? How long was it parked? How old is the battery?
