The Bronco Sport sits quietly in the garage. Opening the door triggers the headlights to come on. After closing the door you can hear a noise from the headlights for 10 minutes. What is that? My guess is the LED headlights have a cooling fan? Or is it something unrelated?

Can somebody check this on theirs and let me know if it’s common?

I think this is most likely what it is too. There was more discussion about this in another thread here.

I assume this is normal because it happens with mine too. The "whirr"/fan noise lasts for about 5-10 minutes then goes away. It does this even if I just unlock and open a door.

Yes. I noticed it when only opening the door. The noise is on a timer. It’s hard to believe that it would need to run for 10 minutes with just opening the door.

If I can remember I'll ask my Ford Guys next time I'm at King Ford.
Not concerned at all,
I'd like to think It's the A.I. system spinning up to be ready to deal with It's human.
It's a Symbiotic relationship,
Skynet needs active CPU cooling on demand ~~~~
Again, not concerned, just curious.
I will be planning on a new battery In three years with so many things after juice so often.

I did noticed this morning, I got out and locked the BS, came outside after a couple of minutes, daytime running lights were on, nothing else. they had plenty of time to time out. Lights are set to automatic. I was nowhere near the vehicle when I noticed it. Anyone else have this happen?

It's freezing out, do they need to run?
