For some reason this only carries over to the Ford Escape and not the Bronco Sport, believe it or not, these are the same motors but ford seemed to do an overhaul on the top, this could be a better design, what's your guys take or comments?

From the photos I don’t see major differences besides just a redesigned air intake. I wonder why?

Looks like the air filter has gotten a lot bigger.

To me, it looks as if (the most obvious) change was the location and size of the airbox filter, the ignition coils do appear less "hidden" than the previous design which had so many cables on top, other small various things, I think the HPFP also has a different look now.

Maybe a slight upper engine redesign to accept a fuel rail/injector drainage system.

The battery looks to be more easily accesible. That would be a welcome change.

All I ever heard was they modified the head to remove a cross cut and added a hole for coolant to pass between the cylinders. The old design left little surface for the head gasket to seal and coolant intruded into the cylinders. I was under the impression that all 2023's are updated.

they did that years ago. Plus it’s not the same 1.5 as the one with issues.

They are, as far as the hole drilled between the cylinders for coolant flow.
