I see tons of Gen2’s on the road and I have not seen any offroad comparisons yet. I just thought it would be fun to watch.

My Gen1 FWD Escape was great in the snow. Never off-roaded it but the extra ground clearance was helpful in the once in 10 years deep snow NC got the winter after I bought mine.

I always liked the Gen2's more truck-like appearance.

Escapes have always been AWD and modern AWD is quite a bit better than it was 20 years ago. So the current Sports should be a bit better.

I still think that Ford realized they emasculated the original Escape into the jellybean it is now and did a “do-over” with the BS...lol.
