Has anyone kept stock rims but upgraded tires?

What’s the biggest tire size that can safely fit on the BL 17” rims? I’ve been wanting to upgrade to some 245/65s but I’m also trying to stay married and 2k on wheels/tires might just end that ?.

Yes, same size as pictured above (245/65R17). Went with Toyo Open Country ATIII's. They fit and look great.

This has been asked several times with no definitive answer *I don't think*. However, I believe the consensus is that it is highly unlikely.

I went with 245/70R17 Toyo AT3 on my FE. I have small rub on the pinch weld on the rear of the front wheel well but I will be cutting and re-welding that soon.
I wanted to put LT255/75R17 K02 but it did not fit at all. The biggest factor in my tire choice was not putting an 8 or 10 ply tire on this light vehicle. I was looking at all options 4 and 6 ply. I cannot believe Ford is using the wild peak as an upgrade in tire... blah.

went with the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S at 235/65/R17. kept the stock rims... for now. Love these tires

She’s a Badlands And right now her badges are removed. They will be going back on this week with a little extra flare. I’ll post pictures once it’s complete

She is not the cyber orange. This is a custom vinyl satin wrap. Her factory color is shadow black

Went with NITTO terra grappler 245/65/17,smoother ride and quiet.RC lift friday,after trip to alignment shop to put it on the machine to get stock specs then back after install for adjustment.

No problem. Got them on tire rack. 165 per tire plus they have a 70$ rebate going on now for the next week or so. Had them shipped to a local tire shop near me, all labor there was $50 but that could change depending where you go for yours.
