It looks coolā€¦ but Iā€™m pretty sure this hack is easier or this is probably just how Ford intended them to be put in. You just put the smaller mat against the over hanging piece so it is secured tightly against the side. Once put in it doesnā€™t move at all.

Just because anything that can go wrong will . . . If you put the piece coming down over the tunnel inside the floor mat (over the lip) any fluids, sand or dirt will drain into the floor mat and not go down between them and under the mat as the video portrays.

Not a bad mod, but if I was going to go through all the effort to locate and drill stuff, I would just add some tonneau snaps instead of the screws. Easier to take apart and put back together. Under $10 in hardware either way.

Agree with the other poster, the lip goes into the other pan. But you could tuck it for a while like that and let heat do its thing. Eventually it will always line up in correct position.
