Hello everyone!

I'm Woody, a long time Ford fan. My wife and I walked into our local dealership this morning with our 2018 Edge SEL and walked out with a 2021 Bronco Sport Base, Black on Black.

There were 17 miles on the clock when we picked it up, no special order, but it literally just got off the truck this morning and had been on one other test drive before we got there. They were still peeling the protective wrap from it.

It's a nice little vehicle. It's my wife's daily driver. She's had a 2016 Escape with the 2.0EB, our 2018 Edge also with the 2.0EB, and this is our first with the 1.5EB. Overall, I'm impressed with the little engine that could and the 8 speed transmission so far. I took it down some two lane black top to go do our grocery shopping this evening and the MPG was showing me 40ish for the most part. We'll see how it does on a daily basis, but I think it'll be fine. She's quick enough off the line, surprisingly quiet to drive, the handling feels sporty, much more responsive than the Edge was at least. She loves it, has wanted a Bronco since she was a little kid, so we're happy to have it home.

As for other Fords I've had, I started with an 85.5 Ford Escort, moved up to an 85 Mercury Cougar XR-7 (2.3 Lima Turbo with the 5 speed, very fun!), then a 85 Cougar LS that I Frankensteined together with a Mustang 5.0, AOD from a Town Car, and 3.08 rear gears also from a Town Car, wasn't as fun as the XR-7, but could get 30mpg at 80mph! I was Fordless for awhile after that, but then picked up my first 97 Thunderbird with a 4.6 V8, LOVED IT, until someone rear ended me. So I did what any red blooded American would do and bought a 99 Mustang GT. It was fun, but I really liked the Thunderbird better. So I sold that, sold the 2002 Crown Vic I had inherited from my Grandma when she passed (in 2011 with a whopping 15000 on the clock, she never drove it) and bought a PI Swapped 97 Thunderbird with 3.73 gears, lowering springs, tower connectors, 89 SuperCoupe sway bars, and a few other things. I'm currently finishing a motor swap to a 2003 Explorer aluminum block 4.6 with Kooks chassis specific headers, ported heads, degreed Modular Head Shop cams, enlarged plenum, etc that should get me about 350hp to the crank, enough to be a fun good weather driver.

Anyhoo, looking forward to seeing everyone else's experiences with the Bronco Sport, add any insight I may have, and go from there.
