In the BS Big Bend black diamond package there are pre wired aux switches. Has anyone successfully been able to wire in a garage door opener to one of them?

What year? I'm assuming newer?

I think 2022 was the last year, but the Big Bend used to come with HomeLink built into the sun visor.

It is a 2025. The visor is a plain visor however the aux switches are all ready and waiting to be used.

'25's have HomeLink in the visor, but I think that was part of the Tech Package for OB and BL only (?). Not sure if that was ever available on the BB.

I'd just stick with a clip-on, honestly. The Aux switches push 12VDC and most if not all remotes are just 3VDC, then you still have the issue of tearing open a remote, bypassing the momentary switch and soldering in leads from the Aux switch, and finding a place under the hood that wouldn't block the RF signal. Might be fun as a tech exercise, but I don't the juice is worth the squeeze.

Didn't someone get a HomeLink visor and successfully add it to their non-HomeLink equipped BS?

My 2025 big Bend with black diamond package has the home link buttons in the visor. I also have the convenience package which included fog lights. I am almost certain the homelink buttons are included in the convenience package.
Edit:
I thought I would Google it out of curiosity and this is what I got. I was right about the convenience package.

Correct. According to the Ford Order guide for the '25's, they were available on BB and OB as part of the Convenience Package (96P), standard on the BL.

Makes sense. I went cheap and did not get the convenience package.

If your current vanity mirror on the drivers side visor is lighted you can buy a visor from Ebay for a pull-a-part (junkyard) that has the Homelink in it and install it into your bronco. It will be 100% plug-n-play.

You can probably buy a visor with home link and install it. I did that with my F150 XLT.

I’ve done it. As long as you have a lighted vanity mirror, it’s plug and play.

My ’25 BSBB (with Black Diamond off-road and the Convenience packages - NO technology package) has Homelink in the visor. I don’t use it, but it’s there. I much prefer the clip-on opener remote… and it will be easy to remove when the BS an I eventually part ways.

For whatever reason, I've never been able to get my current opener to work with Homelink in any car I've owned while I've lived here. I clipped my opener to my visor, and in just a few days, it left an indentation in the visor that made me regret ever putting it there. Ten months later, it still hasn't quite bounced back fully. My opener now lives next to the wireless charging pad.

Might be able to help with HomeLink if you want to provide the make and model number of the opener
