I think it depends on your typical driving environment. We live in a rural area and I’ve put well over 100k on all our vehicles without changing pads. In fact, I don’t think I’ve changed pads on a vehicle since 2010 when I changed the pads on our 1997 F150 at 140k. Both our other vehicles have over 100k and still have lots of pad wear left. I’m having the brakes inspected and the brake fluid changed on the Cherokee next month so I’ll see how the look.

Or how heavy of feet you have! I’m pretty heavy on the brakes to offset the heavy right foot! I’m normally in the 50k-60k range for front brakes and 120k for rear brakes. Fortunately, I haven’t had to rebuild a set of calipers in over 50 years. Just replace the rotors and pads and drums and shoes. I’m of the age where we used to have to turn the drums or rotors and rebuild the calipers or cylinders and fully bleed the systems every 30k-50k miles.

But, I’ll never remember all these secret handshakes needed to work on the vehicles now.

To be fair my break components didn't need changing. I just think the OE could use some help.

I wonder if the ACC has much of an impact on it. I travel 50 miles to work every day and have been using the cruise control - to slow down when I get to smaller towns. So that's about 3 towns going from 75 to 40/55. Brakes are definitely engaged when I do this, especially when it's over a short distance. Before my BS, I would tap the brakes to turn off cruise control and let it coast to where I need to be.
