Isn't that special. Reading the documents that are attached to the post, it looks like there will be more delays for those waiting for vehicles to be shipped from the factory.
"A Stop Ship was issued at Ford’s Hermosillo Assembly Plant (HSAP) and Louisville Assembly Plant (LAP) on November 9, 2021"

Kinda wondered. I had a nasty squeak when reversing from the L rear. Replaced rear brake pads both sides myself. I can do it faster than the time it would take to drive to and wait at dealer under warranty. I ordered a new set from Ford parts. Pads are relatively inexpensive. Interestingly it was an updated p/n compared to original. This was about a month ago.

What was concerning is the pins on both sides had absolutely no lube. Both bone dry.

Fixed the squeak issue - thus far has not returned.

I have not noticed any brake performance issue - seems fine.

What was the updated part number?

Might even be more cost effective to just replace the pads yourself (if you are mechanically inclined to do so) than to wait for Ford to have the replacement parts sometime in January. And you know the replacement parts are going to go to the assembly line first.

curious how buying pads and investing time or money into a recall repair is more cost effective than having ford fix it for free?

Brake pads are less than $60 to purchase and takes less than an hour to do. Do you want to be driving around knowing that your BS may or may not stop when you want it to - especially in an instant where you might need it to to avoid a collision. Or you could just park it and wait a month or more for the parts to be available to perform the recall.

Does this mean a halt in production? Or continued production then shipment once the recalled part is replaced?

You know? I think I am OK with my production week keeping getting pushed. Hopefully that will avoid my MY22 from being recalled for a bunch of stuff.

Noticed the recall affected 12 2022 Bronco Sports so I guess they did start making some right before the stop.
