Wasn't this design and manufacturing principle understood ~150-200 years ago?

AI's sole purpose is to dumb down societies throughout the world so the overlords can control the populous. AI is being programed by idiots whom can't even see the writing on the wall.....Or can they?

When the overlords name the next not so great strain of AI Natasia you'll know were nearing the end.. Read Natasia backwards and you see!

Not true, it does what we consider implied consent allows it to do. It does what it has access to. It's impossible to explain in a thread, but it's my daily life.

I can 100% attest to this. Due to my involvement in many Ford forums over the course of the past 4-5 years, I've made a few friends including a few engineers within different departments in Ford including a mechanical engineer and a few software engineers.

A lot of those guys genuinely care and are really good at what they do, but they have so much red tape to circumvent, it really makes their jobs difficult. I used to bash them all the time until I learned the things they need to go through to get anything done.

I don't think this is a Ford only thing. I work for Jaguar/Land Rover now and have for the past ten years and they are also a hot mess.

This is a now common theme. AI works when it’s programmed for a very specific task, but if you rely on it for it to be some sort of all-knowing guru or oracle you’re begging for trouble. AI needs skilled and experienced human guidance to essentially fact check AI or else all you get are hallucinations (AI lies) and slop.

A lot of CEO’s are learning their AI’s are essentially yes-man, learning to tell the CEO’s what they want to hear rather than giving them factual information and critical analysis. If an AI doesn’t have the actual answer to your enquiry then rather than just admit it doesn’t know it’ll just make something up—the well known AI hallucination.

AI certainly gives you speed, but it doesn’t guarantee accuracy. And many are finding out the cost of AI is coming out more than paying an actual experienced person.

I think we are in the shaking out phase. After being promised the moon people are learning what AI can and cannot actually do. Eventually things will settling down and AI will fade into the background as just another element of computer software and without the “AI powered” label slapped on everything. That said I think some people are going to lose a lot of money in the interim as this doesn’t pan out as hyped.
