So I just received this message this morning and I'm a little concerned. M y Bronco Badlands edition is a 2023 and I bought it at the end of October. I had a Thinkware U1000 dash cam put in and it's hooked directly into the fuse box so I power for it for the parking mode, and I'm wondering if that is what's causing this message. Any ideas? Thanks!

Probably. Unhook it and see if the problem persists,
That was gonna be my 1st step after getting some ideas from people on here.

If you hardwired a dashcam without a hardwire kit that included an adjustable voltage cutoff, then that's an obvious explanation for the message you're seeing. If you installed such a hardware kit with a switch to adjust the voltage cutoff, adjust the switch to a higher voltage cutoff (dashcam stops drawing power sooner).

This is pretty common in the winter. Cold weather makes for harder starts, which require more battery power. The battery management system monitors battery health and selectively shuts down ancillary systems to maintain enough power for an engine start. A dashcam in parking mode is another device drawing battery power, so it can certainly contribute to battery drain.

You can try disconnecting the camera (or disabling parking mode) as @jkeaton suggests, or you can occasionally put your battery on a charger to top if off.

If the problem persists consider having your battery load tested.

Unfortunately I live in a condo and there's no receptacle near enough to my parking spot to plug a battery charger.

I get this all the time and mine is a 2021. It usually occurs when I drive little and use the heated seats and steering wheel. The battery just isn’t being given enough time to recharge. I’m glad to see it because it means the auto stop/start is also disabled so I don’t need to push the button and turn it off :sunglasses: .

Thanks for all the answers. I'll be checking out the dashcam settings later on today. I'm driving up north for 3 hours tomorrow so hopefully that will help solve the issue as well.

I'm also going to check the parking settings on the DC. I'm thinking it's NOT on energy saving mode or winter mode. Apparently these settings will lower the power consumption of the DC.

One solution is to add a backup battery specifically for powering the camera. There are some YouTube videos on this.

WRT Ford's notice -- I understand the OP lives in a condo, but for those who can use a charger, that makes a LOT more sense than 'going for a drive' or 'a longer ride'.

Why burn gas and put miles on your BS when a Battery Tender (or similar) can top off the battery for pennies?

Considering the way the BS electrical system is designed, it's a good idea to connect a Battery Tender anyway -- if the BS is going to be parked for more than a couple days.

For those without access to a 120V outlet, there are solar chargers -- but their performance varies, and obviously the panel must see a reasonable amount of sun.

I get this from time to time also, probably a couple of times a month. Get it every time I go on vacation for 14 days and leave it at home.

Mine's a 2021

I took my daughters 23 in for a software update which solved same problem she was having . Would get that message every day . It was summer and hot so her remote start would not work either to cool off car for her baby . Update took a few hours to complete . No problems since .
